We are having fun doing all sort of snowman stuff.....We did a cool (really cold) chemical reaction experiment by melting snowman.
We used a base (baking soda) and an acid (vinger) to make our snowmen melt or some would say fizzle away. We used our senses to learn by hearing, seeing, smelling, touching ....no tasting but did learn that some of us like vinegar and baking soda. After all vinger is on chips, french fries and in salad dressing....Baking soda we do use for "baking" and we all like cookies! What did our snowman feel like- cold, wet, hard and it turned mushy and soft. Some friends liked the smell of vingar and others did not. Some comments were : Austin- "smells good", Matthew- smells "spicy", Brynlee "super good", and Kylie "wierd"!
What could they hear - lots of bubbles and bubbly noise. Using their sense of sight they noticed "glitter, sprinkles, it's smoking!" (Oops - camera was having issues with the 3 day pictures)
